About the role

We believe you are at the beginning of your journalism career and want to continue your development with us. We are looking for a stylish and driven writer who is skilled at creating journalistic content in reports and news articles, focusing on providing value to our readers. In addition to writing, you may also participate in our TV format, Educational TV, and be on stage at our events. The position is a temporary contract from April 1 to December 31.

More about the position

Kvalitetsmagasinet is a umbrella of services consisting of a daily news service partly behind a paywall, a paper magazine published six times a year, and a number of events aimed at quality professionals in both private and public sectors. The magazine has been around for over 30 years and has a steady readership, currently consisting of about 20,000 newspaper readers and 40,000 newsletter subscribers. In addition to Kvalitetsmagasinet, we also create content for our niche product, Kvalitetsvård, about business development in healthcare.

The editorial team is located in Stockholm, and we sit together with the editorial teams for Techtidningen, Miljö & Utveckling, Vd-tidningen, and Hållbart samhällsbyggande. The work is mostly done in the office or out in the field, with some opportunities for remote work.

We work in our own editorial system and in WordPress. Knowledge of web publishing, basic image processing, some search engine optimization, and TV journalism is advantageous.

About you

You have a strong personal drive and the ability to contextualize news. You enjoy switching between working with planned journalism and news events. You are well-informed, socially interested, and good at explaining complex tasks in an understandable and engaging way. A large part of the work will involve building relationships and finding news in a relatively unmonitored but exciting part of Swedish private and public sectors. You are curious, resilient under stress, see opportunities, and make things happen. You also need to be comfortable in public settings, as you may be a moderator for certain parts of our events.

You will learn the subject over time. Your qualities are the most important.

You need to be fluent in Swedish and English.
